SCULPT Scholarship (2021 - ongoing)

The SCULPT Scholarship, sponsored by the BZIPPY FUND, provides two full tuition awards to artists interested in expanding their knowledge of clay processes through “Build Big.” The initiative seeks to cultivate a community of makers beyond institutional models and promote democratized access to ceramic education that isn’t contingent on finances, space, or equipment. Build Big

The scale of your artwork shouldn’t be limited by kiln size. Making modular sculpture is an accessible and sustainable approach for working in large-scale. In this course we will learn methods of building large-scale ceramic sculpture including historic and contemporary techniques, and the concept and politics of parts and seams. Over the course of 5 class meetings you will build a tall sculpture in at least 2 parts. Learn More.

The Female Design Council Grant 01 (Fall, 2020)

The Female Design Council Grant is an inaugural juried grant initiative launched to support Black womxn designers in the United States. FDC recognizes the importance of providing direct funding to designers, especially Black womxn. Learn more.
